The Blue Hour in the Greenhouse
...
My daughter woke me up this morning almost jumping of joy "Mamma det snöar!" which means "mother it is snowing!". She was a little disappointed that I didn't get out of bed straight away. When I slowly stood up and walk to the window I saw this wonderful landscape with 4 inches of snow and it was still snowing, how lovely.
Saturday morning and no plans...that I do like.
Here are some pictures from my favorite hour.
It is something magical about this blue hour. A sense of calmness, silence. The end of the day and the beginning of an evening. It is so wonderful to just sit back and enjoy. Especially a Saturday like this when you are not working, nor have any plans and the day of the very first snow of the season. Magnificent.
Underbart.
Have a joyful weekend/Tyra

Tack Ruben, visst är det magiskt.
Tyra I can see why 'The Blue Hour' is your favorite time of day~especailly in that gorgeous greenhouse of yours! Beautifully captured! It is magical indeed! We had our first snow of the season this week also, it was just a dusting of an inch or so, but it was magnificent!:)
Enjoy your evening!

What a lovely, serene scene. Snuggle up underneath a quilt and drink hot chocolate near a fire. And enjoy the weekend.

As I write, snow is falling outside my Guildwood window in Canada, and indoors all around me
many garden books and garden catalogues are in bloom."
Thank you for visiting my blog.

We rarely get snow here where I live, so it is so nice to see what snow looks like where it really comes down. Thanks for sharing a lovely posting.

Jan and Michelle no but you got warmth...how lovely :-)
Katarina visst är det kul och vackert med snö.
Tyra it is magical your greenhouse surrounded by blue! sigh
Anna from Naturegirl, it is magical that the cool colour of blue can be so warm in 'the blue hour', I think this most fascinating.
It is truly magical Tyra. I've never heard that time of day called the "Blue Hour" before but it's a perfect description. I hope you enjoyed the wintry weekend? I would love to sit in your greenhouse and look out at it all. I'm sure that's absolutely delightful.
Kathleen this is what wiki says:
The blue hour comes from a French expression (l'heure bleue) which refers to the hour experienced between the hours of daylight and darkness.
