The Greenhouse,

is about growing matters, focusing on my greenhouse and potager. I grow mainly vegetables, herbs and spices but flowers have their given place too. From seed to table, this is the nursery for my living food, we cook a lot of delicious food and I say a potager is the cook’s best friend. The greenhouse makes it possible to grow essential, colourful, warmth loving fruit and vegetables even in this climate such as tomatoes and chillies. My main blog is Tyras Trädgård/Tyra's Garden. The Blue Hour in the Greenhouse

The Blue Hour in the Greenhouse
...
My daughter woke me up this morning almost jumping of joy "Mamma det snöar!" which means "mother it is snowing!". She was a little disappointed that I didn't get out of bed straight away. When I slowly stood up and walk to the window I saw this wonderful landscape with 4 inches of snow and it was still snowing, how lovely.
Saturday morning and no plans...that I do like.
Here are some pictures from my favorite hour.
It is something magical about this blue hour. A sense of calmness, silence. The end of the day and the beginning of an evening. It is so wonderful to just sit back and enjoy. Especially a Saturday like this when you are not working, nor have any plans and the day of the very first snow of the season. Magnificent.

Underbart.

Have a joyful weekend/Tyra

What a lovely, serene scene. Snuggle up underneath a quilt and drink hot chocolate near a fire. And enjoy the weekend.

First snow..it is like magic.
As I write, snow is falling outside my Guildwood window in Canada, and indoors all around me
many garden books and garden catalogues are in bloom."
Thank you for visiting my blog.

We rarely get snow here where I live, so it is so nice to see what snow looks like where it really comes down. Thanks for sharing a lovely posting.

Anna from Naturegirl, it is magical that the cool colour of blue can be so warm in 'the blue hour', I think this most fascinating.

It is truly magical Tyra. I've never heard that time of day called the "Blue Hour" before but it's a perfect description. I hope you enjoyed the wintry weekend? I would love to sit in your greenhouse and look out at it all. I'm sure that's absolutely delightful.

Kathleen this is what wiki says:

The blue hour comes from a French expression (l'heure bleue) which refers to the hour experienced between the hours of daylight and darkness.
