Perhaps it sounds rather strange to say that one love cabbage, but I really do. I think there are some very beautiful varieties of cabbages. Nero di Toscana is certainly a favorite, it is so very good lookin’ though not that tasty unfortunately or perhaps I don’t really know how to cook it properly. Any great recipes? Well now it's done, the annual spring cleaning. It is no fun job to do but it has to be done and someone has to do it. Now I have taken all the seedling out (almost) and left in the greenhouse are the tomatoes and peppers. A few Geraniums, Auriculas and Roses just to add colour and scent. The cushions are cleaned and aired, now I have earned a nap on the sofa...but seriously, I hardly lay down

Late winter to early spring, now it's time to prune, cut and trim the apple trees, I actually do it twice a year, now and one's during the JAS period (July-Aug.-Sept). The Anthropologists in Sweden recommend the JAS pruning and I think it makes sence. During that period it is often much more dry and the trees recover faster after the pruning. I took this picture today the 7th of January, this Geranium plant has been in bloom since June.
