The Greenhouse,

is about growing matters, focusing on my greenhouse and potager. I grow mainly vegetables, herbs and spices but flowers have their given place too. From seed to table, this is the nursery for my living food, we cook a lot of delicious food and I say a potager is the cook’s best friend. The greenhouse makes it possible to grow essential, colourful, warmth loving fruit and vegetables even in this climate such as tomatoes and chillies. My main blog is Tyras Trädgård/Tyra's Garden. DECEMBER LIGHTS in TYRA's GREENHOUSE

DECEMBER LIGHTS
.

Feng Shui moment in the greenhouse, a few minutes of peace and calmness.

This is a candle holder I made a few years ago, a simple piece of wood with a wonderful smooth surface and painted in rustic style and the recipe of the paint is traditional and very old. When you put your hands on the surface it is cold like al fresco paint.

Lovely December lights, daylight and candlelights, mild and warm. When the sun comes out in December it's a 'golden day' I just love it and I so understand the ancient people that worshiped the sun and Ra the sungod of Heliopolis.

I wonder if we will get any snow for Christmas?
We did have some wonderful winter days in November but since then it has been reallt mild and awfully dark outside. Look at my post from the 22th of November, those picture looked almost like the Christmas cards I use to send, that is precisely how I wish my garden to look like during the winter. Hello up there...I wish you to come back with my magical winter land.

'Kung Bore' our King of winter, come back and give as a winter cover thick and light as eiderdown!

Make my garden clean, quiet and glimmer with snow, please!

TYRA

Yes Kung Bore do come back and grant Tyra's wish. You've got such a lovely greenhouse and it looks like you spend a lot of time in there. Is it heated?

Kram, Yolanda

Your glowing Greenhouse looks most inviting, dear Tyra. Don't worry, I do believe 'Kung Bore', King of winter, is on his way ... he's been busy dumping over 2 feet of fluffy snow on our Hubbard Lake cottage! Since it looks as though you're blessed with many gifts, my Christmas wish for you is postcard pretty snow. Happy Holidays!

Hi Yolanda yes I do have heated floor but my husband didn't like the electric bill last year so this year I'm a good (stupid) girl. I mean he has his golf...that isn't cheap :-(

I have done some lobbying and my friends are on my side so next season 'the heat is on!'

Isn't that a song with the Pointers sisters?

Helt underbart att få kika in i ditt växthus!

/cz
