The Greenhouse,

is about growing matters, focusing on my greenhouse and potager. I grow mainly vegetables, herbs and spices but flowers have their given place too. From seed to table, this is the nursery for my living food, we cook a lot of delicious food and I say a potager is the cook’s best friend. The greenhouse makes it possible to grow essential, colourful, warmth loving fruit and vegetables even in this climate such as tomatoes and chillies. My main blog is Tyras Trädgård/Tyra's Garden. The Greenhouse and potager - June

In the greenhouse the Tomatoes and Chillies are flourishing and so are the Physalis and the Basil as well. I keep my basil indoors as long as they look happy and they certainly do. It is still very hot here in Vaxholm and no rain at all, it is so very dry and I cannot possibly water all the borders and plants, I don’t dare to do it because we get our water from our own well and I’m afraid that it will run out of water, so I just water the most important stuff like the kitchen garden and the Geraniums. My lawn looks absolutely awful all brown and crisp dry.

Beautiful bottles from the Botanicus in Prague, when I bought them I think it was schampoo in them but now I have them in my greenhouse and they contains soap and fertilizer - Flaskor som jag köpt i Prag i en fantastiskt trevlig affär som heter Botanicus. Jag har rengöringmedel och gödning i mina.

Ivy a true favourite I use it indoors, in the greenhouse and in the garden - Murgröna är så användbar, jag har den både inne, ute och i växthuset.

The colours that stands out the most in my June garden are lilac and green of course. All the herbs and spices are now in full bloom and the Tarragon I already harvest and put in a lovely red vinegar, that will be gorgeous for the salad dressings later on. The chives thrives and need to be cut down so I can get a second harvest.

Go to Tyra's Garden and check out the Irises!

Have a great day and do write something, don't be a stranger!

I do love your greenhouse! My little plot of land isn't large enough to hold one.

I am not having great success with my basil this year. What is your secret?

Tyra,
I'm totally infatuated with your greenhouse. I looks like a glass garden chapel.
