The Greenhouse,

is about growing matters, focusing on my greenhouse and potager. I grow mainly vegetables, herbs and spices but flowers have their given place too. From seed to table, this is the nursery for my living food, we cook a lot of delicious food and I say a potager is the cook’s best friend. The greenhouse makes it possible to grow essential, colourful, warmth loving fruit and vegetables even in this climate such as tomatoes and chillies. My main blog is Tyras Trädgård/Tyra's Garden. Weather setback!

Hohoo, Yohooo spring where did you go.....?

Cool and pale, true Scandinavian colours, the greenhouse in Tyra's Garden March 2008.
I thought we were going to have an early spring but oh... no. Someone up there decided differently. Last week we got about 10 cm of snow! Yes it's pretty but not now, snow is perfect during the Christmas holiday and the months of January and February that's it! Now we have passed Easter and March is soon coming to an end and I want to see spring flowers, buds and small leaves. When it looks like this I can't ever take out my seedling to the greenhouse. My veranda is full to the limit of its capacity and a little bit more....seedlings everywhere. OK I'll stop whining and show you a nice bouquet of flowers instead.
Tulipa and Ranunculus aren't they just beautiful together?

Veronicas bukett.

Have a beautiful weekend! Take some pics of all your seedlings on your veranda..:) I am hoping to put mine in my greenhouse this weekend!
